Tatarstan-Russia scientific-practical conference "The positive experience of monitoring and regulation of ethno-social and ethno-cultural processes in the regions of the Russian Federation" opened at the House of Peoples' Friendship

 Yesterday, September 25, at the House of Friendship of Peoples of Tatarstan opened Russian scientific-practical conference "The positive experience of monitoring and regulation of ethno-social and ethno-cultural processes in the regions of the Russian Federation." The event was organized by the Department of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan on Domestic Policy, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Institute of History named after  S.Mardzhani and  the  Institute of Sociology, the  Russian Academy of Sciences.

The plenary session was opened by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan - Head of the President on matters of domestic policy, Alexander Terentyev. He read  out  greetings from the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, R.N. Minnikhanov.

The keynote addresses, as well as in the mode of sections,  the  issues of ethnic, national and civic identity in the Russian regions, seeking common ground, and especially among the youth, the role of the media were covered. The discussions brought together experts in the field of national policy from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Kabardino-Balkaria, Orenburg and other regions of the country. One of the main ideas - including with the help of scientific thought making a  harmonious inter-ethnic cooperation in the region.
