On September 23, the International scientific-practical conference "Origins and evolution of literature and music of the Turkic peoples" has opened at the Kazan Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The conference will be held for two days within the program "Kazan - the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2014." It is organized by the G. Ibragimov Institute of Language, Literature and Art, Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan and M. Zhiganov Kazan State Conservatory with support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and International organization TURKSOI.
The conference is attended by representatives of the scientific community of Russia, Iran, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. Altogether more than 100 reports have been presented.
The forum will be held in three sections:
- Origins and Evolution of the literatures of Turkic peoples (literature of Turkic peoples in the context of world culture, theoretical and methodological problems of studying literature of Turkic peoples, Turkic literary monuments of the Middle Ages);
- Makhtymkuly and spiritual culture of the Turkic peoples (Makhtymkuly and his era; Makhtymkuly’s creativity in the context of the literatures of the Turkic peoples, literary translations of the Makhtumkuly’s poetic heritage);
- The musical tradition of the Turkic peoples as a cultural phenomenon (Turkic musical component in the Eurasian cultural space, interaction of Turkic, Slavic, Finno-Ugric musical traditions, current state and prospects of development of the Turkic music). Section starts ay the Kazan Conservatory September 23, at 13:30, in the Conference Hall.
The conference will include presentations of books "Kul Gali and Turkic" Yusufname " by N. Sh.Khisamov and "Makhtymkuly. Poems "(compiled by R.M.Minnullin), concerts of traditional and professional music of Turkic peoples.
Entrance to the concerts is free.
Section "musical tradition of the Turkic peoples as a cultural phenomenon" begins its work in the Conference Hall of the Kazan Conservatory at 13:30.
