On September 16, the State Grand Concert Hall of the S.Saidashev opens International Spiritual Music Festival. The project is organized by the Kazan State Conservatory in collaboration with the German musical association «Palatina Klassik» and Italian fund of spititual music «La Fondazione Pro Musica e Arte Sacra».
Students Choir (artistic director - Honored Artist of Russia and Tatarstan Vladislav Lukyanov) and the Symphony Orchestra of Kazan Conservatory run by Leo Kremer will perform Johannes Brahms' German Requiem.
The idea of creation of the work in the genre of requiem, according to one biographer of the composer, has been associated with the death of Robert Schumann. The immediate impetus for writing the German Requiem by Brahms was the death of his mother. After a triumphant premiere works by the composer added to the requiem another, the fifth part of the solo soprano that best reflected the mood of the composition.
As soloists perform Yekaterina Leider (soprano) and Igor Makarov (baritone). PhD in Art History will present the program, Yuri Karpov.
Kazan will be able to visit another concert of the festival, which takes place in GBKZ Saidashev on October 9. The audience will be presented the spiritual works of Austrian composer Anton Bruckner: Mass in F. Minor and his latest monumental essay Te Deum.
