Republican high day of folk culture "Igrai Garmon" took place

A festival dedicated to the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan in Kazan began with the Republican high day  of popular culture "Igrai garmon (Play  accordion)",  which took place  in  the square, in front of the  G.Kamal  Tatar State Academic Theatre.

Holiday "Igrai Garmon" already  the twenty-ninth time presents  a whole range  of national culture  to Kazan residents  and guests of the capital. The most important holiday tradition - a parade  of  harmonica players. It is a beautiful sight - a palette of costumes and instruments. But all    the   accordionists play one  melody, and they are   directed  by  a composer, winner of the  M. Jalil  State Award, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, a member of the Composers' Union of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan Rif Gataullin. It's an amazing sight to see all of the accordions united in one creative family.

Artists came to the celebration not only from the 32 regions  of the Republic of Tatarstan, but of the Chuvash Republic, the Republic of Mari-El and   Vyatskie  Polyany  of  the Kirov region - more than 250 harmonist players.

In the concert, which took place after the prologue, the audience saw dances, folklore of the peoples of the Republic of  Tatarstan. Those interested  could  dance  themselves - right in the square  interactive scenes   were organized  - the people rested and rejoiced heartily.

It was a surprise, appearance of saxophonists at the festival. Renat Gabdrakhmanov (Kazan) and Karim Alkhayal (Syria) presented  audience the song "Titanium", which became the unquestioned highlight of the holiday.

Each participant and collective  of the  event "Play  accordion" received a diploma.

In 2015,   the 30th celebration of folk culture "Play  accordion"    will be held, Republican center of traditional culture says.
