From August 27 to 31 the first museum regatta from Kazan - Tchistopol to be held

In 2015, Kazan hosts the World Cup on Water Sports. Currently, not only sports, but also the cultural program of this outstanding event in the life of our republic and the whole country is being formed. One of the brightest events for participants and guests of the championship, as well as residents of the capital will be holding a Museum regatta. However, this year a trial competition is arranged.

The organizers of this event are the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan, Tatarstan Museum Association, together with NP "Center for sailing and boating" , Sailing Federation of  Tatarstan with the support of Ministry of Culture of  Republic of Tatarstan, the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan  and the administration of  Tchistopolsky region  of Tatarstan.

Museum regatta, which combines sport and culture, the romance of sailing regatta and mystery of the museum of the world should, according to the initiators, revitalize the museums  and support  the  development of sailing in the republic. In the course of the race,   it  is supposed to organize a  saturated  museum and  cultural program,  to study and actively promote  historical and natural sights,  and museums located on the banks of the Volga and Kama rivers with a visit to the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan  and museums of  Tchistopol. The museum part of the events    it is planned to organize museum exhibitions, presentations, excursions, as well as a pamphlet devoted to the natural, historical and cultural monuments of the Volga and Kama, the history of the Volga-Kama Shipping and water sports.

Among the organizers of the race - a museum, located in the settlements along the banks of rivers, including the city of Kazan, Zelenodolsk, Pechishche, Verkhny  Uslon, Kama Estuary, Krasnovidovo and  Tchistopol.

Planned number of participants of the regatta (boat crews) - 15-20 yachts from Kazan, Zelenodol'sk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Cheboksary, Ulyanovsk, Tolyatti and other cities.

The museum first regatta will be an outstanding event,  in the cultural and sporting life of our republic , will actively promote our beautiful land, history and nature, museums and a new museum-reserve  established at the beginning of this summer in Tchistopol,   serve the further development of the museum tourism!

And for  Tchistopol   residents  and its  guests - a real holiday, entertaining and beautiful, they will be able to observe from the scenic banks  because  the program of the regatta    includes  parade of yachts.

Organizers hope that the Museum  regatta  will be a traditional  and  annual  event, and it  expand routes - along the banks of our rivers   there are so many interesting and original museums in Yalabuga, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Laish, Bolgar, Tetyushi, Zelenodolsk,  Sviyazhsk, collections and activities   of which  are admired and worthy of widespread attention!
