In Bulgaria, the VI International Forum opens

The VI International Bulgarian Forum has opened today. The official ceremony was held at the conference hall of the Memorial sign. It passed with participation of the Republic of Tatarstan State Counsellor M. Shaimiev and Director General of IRCICA Khalit Eren.

The forum is held in Tatarstan within the framework "Kazan - a cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2014."

As noted at the beginning of the meeting, Vice-President of the Republic of Tatarstan, director of the Institute of History, Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan after Sh. Mardzhani Rafael Khakimov, established on the initiative of the Tatarstan International Bolgarian forum is held annually to bring together professionals involved in the history, culture and heritage of the Bolgarian civilization. Over the past two years, the forum has become a permanent platform for coordination and exchange of knowledge between scientists from Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Hungary, Moldova, Kazakhstan and other countries.

Guests and participants, prominent scientists, statesmen and public figures of Turkic States and Russia were welcomed by the RT State Councilor Mintimer Shaimiev. He noted that this meeting is being held in the auspicious Year, by decision of TURKSOI, Kazan was declared a cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2014. In addition, this is the year the Bolgarian historical and archaeological complex has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

"We have come a long and very difficult road to this success. Over the past 15 years, from the date of filing the application, the republic with the direct support of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, the Russian Government, the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the domestic and international public, has made a great job on the revival of the Bolgars and Sviyazhsk "- said M. Shaimiev.

He said that Bulgaria and Svijazhsk become a sort of "locomotives" of the development of tourism and the museum industry in the country, a serious increase of its investment attractiveness.

"Of course, much remains to be done. We have ambitious plans for the development of educational and outreach programs, expanding exhibits, improving tourism infrastructure, transport accessibility and more", - the RT State Advisor said.

In this regard, he said, it is very important for Tatarstan experience of colleagues, who have successfully engaged in the research, museum, restoration activity.

M.Shaimiev stressed that Bulgarian forum is a unique research project proposed at the time by the Institute of History after Sh. Mardzhani, RT "It is significant that the V Bulgarian forum successfully held last year in the Crimea, again scientifically confirmed substantiated findings of the ethnic and cultural unity of the shared history of the Crimean and Volga Tatars, all Turkic peoples," - he said. M.Shaimiev expressed confidence that the Bolgarian forum would be an important factor in strengthening international cooperation, open up new avenues and opportunities for the creation of high-tech, information-rich museum infrastructure.

Director General of IRCICA Halit Eren congratulated M.Shaimiev, entire Tatar people, scientists and historians that Bolgars had been included in the UNESCO List.

"20 years I've been watching this process and I know how it all developed. I had the opportunity to frequently visit Tatarstan, was presen at many events, scientific conferences. During these few years, we could see how Tatarstan has been transforming, how historical monuments have been restored, thanks to the leadership, "- he said.

The inclusion of Bulgaria in the list of UNESCO Khalit Eren called a landmark event. "Kazan again acquired the position, which it had at the beginning of the XX century, as center of Islamic and Tatars, Turkish world, for all Russia and the Volga region" - said General Director of IRCICA. He said they have big plans for the restoration of manuscripts in activities related to the protection of historical monuments. In Kazan IRCICA plans to open a center that will work in this direction.

Minister of Culture of Tatarstan Airat Sibagatullin read a welcome letter to the meeting on behalf of the Secretary General of TURKSOY Dusen Kaseinov. "We know that thanks to the Bolgarian Forum important research publishing projects were carried out , which opened a new page of history of Turkic peoples. I think that one of the outcomes of this activity was the inclusion of the ancient Bolgaria, it is a symbol of the Bolgarian civilization, in the UNESCO List. The Six Bulgarian Forum is held in the framework of the "Kazan - a cultural capital of the Turkic World 2014", warmly is welcoming participants of the Second Forum of the TURKSOI museums. Initiative of the International Organization for museums uniting   Turkic world was realized for the first time last year in the Ottoman capital Istanbul and Bursa. Deep   symbolic seems its continuation in the capital of Tatarstan, a region of the Russian Federation with a rich cultural and historical heritage, which are honored and maintained. We deeply appreciate the openness to cooperation and museums of Tatarstan, assured that the experience of museum affairs of the republic will be useful and interesting to the professional community of Turkic countries "- is said in a welcome letter by D.Kaseinov.

 

The event continued with a plenary session of the International Conference "The material and spiritual culture of Turkic civilization: problems of study and revival of cultural heritage."

Note that the main theme of the VI Bulgarian forum is "The study, preservation and restoration of historical and cultural heritage of the Turkic world." Their research presented more than 40 scientists, managers and employees of museum organizations, cultural workers in Europe, Russia and CIS countries.

Within the framework of the VI International Bolgarian Forum will pass the II Museum Forum of TURKSOI members that includes three breakout discussions on the museum business, tourism, historical and spiritual aspects of Turkic civilization, a number of official meetings.
