The XXII All-Russian festival of art song "Greenlandiya" held In the Kirov region

From July 18 to 20, 2014, in the Kirov oblast, in Basharovo village, on the banks of the River Bistrica, the XXII All-Russian festival of art song "Greenlandiya" took place.

As pointed out in his address, the chairman of the State Duma Sergei Naryshkin, during its existence, the festival has become a hallmark of the Kirov oblast, a symbol of friendship and brotherhood of peoples. Indeed, "Greenlandiya" gathered guests from all over Russia from Vladivostok to the Crimea.

Two days worked the work shops, which chose laureates and winners of the main military-patriotic, poetic and family competition. About a thousand-songwriters took part in them. The winners of the festival became Natalia Birina from Nizhny Novgorod, Valentina Butalova from Tula, the family of Pershins from Bereznyaki, Nicholai Vaytsekhovsky from Tyumen, Sergei Simanov from Kamensk-Ural. Grand Prix "Greenlandiya" has  won Ekaterina Bozheva from St. Petersburg.

The culmination of the festival was a great gala concert, which was attended by the stars of the genre of art song - Galina Khomchik Konstantin Tarasov, Grigory Gladkov duet "Green Light" (Vladislav Shadrin and Dmitry Obukhov) Alexander Shcherbina , Alexei Khomchik and Yuri Lobikov (grandson of Yuri Vizbor) and many others.

As the guest of honor "Greenlandiya", a singer songwriter Grigory Gladkoff mentioned he was impressed at the festival by large number of families with children. "I spent a couple of workshops in the meadow, - Grigory said - and realized that" Greenlandiya "truly is a family holiday. Children are not just our joy, the future of the country. The festival "Greenlandiya" - the best in the country. It turned to the children, and this is an example for everyone else, "- he said.

One of the main events of the festival this year was a premiere of the song "Russia does not throw their owns" dedicated to the reunification of the Crimea with Russia. It was performed from the main stage of the festival by encourager, RF State Duma deputy Oleg Valenchuk and representatives of the organization "Combat Brotherhood" uniting veterans of the armed forces.

The festival has once again confirmed its high rank as one of the best music forums of Russian art song. Themes of patriotism, love of country and family, reverence for the deeds of our ancestors are central to the organizers and guests.

In September 2014, next, already traditional correspondence festival competition "Greenlandiya" starts. This year, at the suggestion of the guest of honor "Greenlandiya 2014", a songwriter of children's songs Grigory Gladkov, correspondence competition will focus on child-related issues.
