The III Meeting of the Council of heads of theaters, members of TURKSOI held in Kazan

June 1, the III Meeting of the Council of Heads theaters TURKSOY member countries held in Kazan. The event was attended by the heads of theaters of  Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan , Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, the Republics of Tatarstan, Altai, Bashkortstan, Sakha Yakutia and Khakassia.

Director of Tatar State Academic Theater after G.  Kamal  Ilfir Yakupov    addressed the participants with a welcome speech. He  reminded the guests that Kazan this year is the "cultural capital of the Turkic world ",  the  2014 has been  declared the Year of Russian Culture,  and tomorrow , June 2, at several sites,  the  III International Festival of Theatre and Education Forum " Novruz "   starts.

Participants talked about what  has been  done in their theaters since the last meeting, held in June 2013 in Baku (Azerbaijan), shared problems and achievements , and also made ​​suggestions for future joint activities.  The issues  were discussed  on support  in   holding    already  existing   festivals   and  organization of   new  ones. In particular, the guest  of the sessions , one of the teachers  of  Festival Forum " Novruz ",  head of the theater company " ACP -ZENT» Yuri Alshits ( Berlin, Germany) , having  expressed   his  view that today we need the most attention   to be  paid to theatrical education , reported that next year  in Kazan, educational, methodological   centre would be set up, whose goal will be to prepare  theater educators.

After the event, the guests went on a tour of Kazan theaters Kazan.
