The Museum of Yanka Kupala in Pechische celebrated the Day of unity of the peoples of the two republics

April 2,   the  Day of  unity of the peoples of the two republics  was celebrated in Pechische  at the Museum of Yanka Kupala. 15 years ago, an agreement was signed "On the Union of Belarus and Russia ." The village Pechishchi,   of Verkhneuslonsky region, the   Museum of Belarusian culture  where  once lived and created Belarusian Pesnyar  was visited  by Tatarstan Belarusians.

- Thank you for the opportunity to meet with our  compatriots, to breathe this air and briefly to  be in my native land, - says the head of the department of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus to Russia Alexander Kulenkovich, referring to the organizers of the event and, in particular,  the Museum Director Rima Abyzova . - The strength of the friendship between the Russian and Belarusian people  have been tested for many decades and historical events of which one - the Great Patriotic War.

Among the speakers  there was also  chief of  cxecutive committee of the Council of the Assembly of Peoples of Tatarstan   Nikolai Vladimirov, chairman of the Belarusian Diaspora in Tatarstan Sergei Marudenko, chairman of the Russian Cultural Center Irina Alexandrovskaya  and every one of them spoke  about friendship, mutual respect , traditions and culture of our peoples. Dignitaries delegation of Belarus was  headed by the dean of the University Vyacheslav Malafeev.

A small concert performed by Friends of the Museum, Belarusian culture connoisseurs Leo Yakovlev, Alevtina Shulaeva , Alina Boziyants, sisters Abyzova    was presented.

- I was very surprised and felt a pleasant sense of pride to know that in Tatarstan,  there is  a museum of  Yanka Kupala. Thank you for the memories, for that    you keep  history of our people and immensely glad to get familiarized  with   friendly people  of  Verkhneuslonsky region  - Ambassador of Belarus  expressed his gratitude.
