Tatarstan President congratulated the workers of culture on their professional holiday

"Dear workers of culture and art!

I heartily congratulate you on your professional holiday - Day of culture!

In Tatarstan, where for centuries developed and closely interact unique ethno-cultural traditions of the Tatar , Russian and other peoples , the development of culture is  prioritized. Tatarstan fond memories about the Year of Literature and Art and Gabdulla  Tukai,  who made ​​history jubilee celebrations devoted to our outstanding cultural figures. Much of what was then conceived, is a worthy continuation of the events in the Year of Culture , now is  widely held in the country , and across the country. Our millennial Kazan is considered one of the cultural capitals of Russia. Real cultural brands , Nureyev's ballet and opera festivals Chaliapin , Rachmaninov " White Lilac " and " Rahlinskie Seasons" theater festival of Turkic peoples " Newroz " youth and pop festival " Constellation - Yoldyzlyk " received  international recognition.

In the Republic are implemented  the   unique projects  to revive the historical and cultural heritage, the true jewels of which are the Great Bolgar and island Svijazhsk. A comprehensive reconstruction of the historical center of Kazan is under way, new museums, theaters and cultural centers are bult.

The dynamic development of the country would have been impossible without the support of our rich traditions, without respect for the spiritual roots. Tatarstan sincerely proud of the achievements of his illustrious compatriots, whose names are included in the golden fund of world culture.

Particular attention is therefore paid to the development of national cultures, language and traditional religious and spiritual values. It is encouraging that in 2014 our ancient Kazan won the high status of the cultural capital of the Turkic world , which will allow even more to strengthen ties between the two brotherly peoples and to reach a new level of creative cooperation.

Undoubtedly, for all that we should be grateful, first of all, the many thousands of workers of culture and art , contributing their invaluable contribution to the spiritual and aesthetic development of Tatarstan society. Our leading professional creative teams, theaters, museums , educational institutions are known far beyond the country. Being integrated into the global cultural space , we develop a civil society in the spirit of patriotism and genuine creativity, actively pursuing multicultural projects , forming strong guidelines for future generations.
