The Ministry of Culture of Tatarstan held a press conference devoted to folk art and cinematography in Tatarstan

Yesterday, March 13, a press conference devoted to folk art and cinematography in Tatarstan Tatarstan took place at the Ministry of Culture of Tatarstan.

The meeting was held within the framework of the Cycle of press events for the Year of Culture in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan  as well as the program "Kazan - the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2014" with the leaders of the republican institutions of culture and art .

Deputy Director of the National Centre for the Development of Traditional Culture Ghali Gabdrakhmanov said that during 2012-13 it was built 135 new rural clubs, current year  under the national program in Tatarstan it would  be built 50 rural clubs. "The goal, faced by the republican center - to make sure that in all villages of the country these or other traditional festivals are carried  because the villages of Tatarstan enjoy a rich history, and this problem, I think, would  be gradually resolved ," -  Ghali Gabdrakhmanov said.

Head of the Center for Folk arts and crafts, board chairman of the RT Chamber of Crafts Nuri Mustafayev said that  the most  biggest events in 2014 would be the republican  the festival: children-youth of national cultures «Salavat kupere»  and ethnic-cultural festival  «Our Home – Tatarstan». According to the plan, this year, the institution is to  hold 400 measures.    

One of the highlights of 2014 will be the X Kazan International Muslim Film Festival, which is the brand on the international scene. Traditionally, this event is scheduled for early September. Already well underway is the processing of applications submitted for the festival from all over the world. As of March 12, film registration service has received already more than 40 applications from 9 countries.

A little earlier, in August 2014, RT GBUK "Tatarkino" will celebrate its 90th anniversary. Organized in 1924, the Center of cinematic life of Tatarstan has a glorious history, it has undergone many transformations of all sorts, but survived and still exists today. The program of the festival will include the anniversary commemorative collection of Tatarstan movies.

These events coincided with the 55th anniversary of the cinema "Mir". Oldest cinema along with blockbusters films, demonstrates highly recognized by the world community, the festival audience and a professional jury. In 2009, the cinema came under the wing of "Tatarkino". During these years, "Mir" has become a Kazan movie house, and simply the Center of the Russian cinematography, took upon itself the mission to educate the audiovisual culture of film distribution.
