Today in Kazan State Architecture and Construction University an international seminar "Strategic planning and management of cultural heritage" has opened. Lecturer is Professor of International Management Institute in the field of cultural heritage of Bradenburg technical university of Kottbus (Germany), a UNESCO expert (ICOMOS ) for preservation of archaeological heritage Britta Rudolff.
Opening an international seminar was held with the participation of the Republic of Tatarstan State Counsellor, chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Foundation "Vozrozhdeniye (Renaissance)" M.Shaimiev, RT Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin and other officials as well as the representatives of the scientific community.
Welcoming the guests of the seminar, the rector of the KSACU Rashid Nizamov said that if prior the representatives of the university went , if possible, to study abroad , it is now an expert on the preservation of archaeological heritage of world-class arrived in Kazan, that would enable to educate more people.
State Counselor of Tatarstan reminded that the country is doing a great job in the field of historic preservation. He stressed that it is important not only for the contemporaries, but also for future generations. Nowadays, in Tatarstan, much work is being done to restore a historic appearance of the Bolgar and Sviyazhsk where not without difficulties due to the lack of specialists in this field the work is handled. That is why, according to M.Shaimiev, so important are these seminars with participation of foreign experts.
A substantive work is being done in the republic today on the preservation of cultural heritage. One example - the Kazan Kremlin, which is included in the UNESCO list. Following objects, claiming for this are Bolgar and Svijazhsk.
" A large-scale restoration of objects is being held on these historical territories , much attention is paid to compliance with international standards, the requirements of the Convention on Protection of the World Natural Heritage. If something does not meet these requirements , then we must blame ourselves in it, we must learn to work at this level , "- Mintimer Shaimiev said.
UNESCO expert invited everyone to the courses , which will be held these days in KGASU. " We will talk about the management of cultural heritage, and these lectures may also be of interest to historians and lawyers ," - Britta Rudolff said. It is planned that the lectures will raise various questions from introduction in the context of the World Heritage Convention and general understanding of what it represents to the world heritage and master classes with analysis of specific examples.
"Our goal - to educate the public. We need to tell people about how important the World Heritage sites are. We try to raise awareness of the importance of historical sites , "- she said.
In memory of the meeting, Mintimer Shaimiev presented Mrs. Britta Rudolff a symbolic lock with key, made by sample of ancient lock found on the territory of Bulgar. Representatives of KSACU handed to the State Counselor a picture and painted by students and books.
