A charity concert opened in Kazan featured the 48th season of the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The collective of the orchestra under direction of Alexander Sladkovsky performed on the stage of a large concert hall named after Saidashev a famous Fifth Symphony by Mahler , which because of its complexity, is included in the repertoire of only five orchestras in Russia .
All of the money raised from the sale of tickets for the concert will be sent to the relief fund for flood victims in the Far East. This is 300 thousand rubles , a certificate of which was showed to the audience by the guests of honor of the concert : Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Yuri Kamaltynov and First Deputy Minister of Culture of Tatarstan Irada Aiupova .
In addition to the proceeds from ticket sales, the money collected in glass boxes , placed in the lobby of the concert hall will also be sent to the affected residents of the Far Eastern regions.
