August 20-22, Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny host the II International Festival of Jewish music. It will bring together 16 teams from different regions of Russia and countries of the world, said at today's press conference, the artistic director of the forum  Edward Tumansky.

The organizers said that the concerts will hear not only klezmer music, which is now gaining popularity in Europe and the U.S. As before, the Tatarstaners  will  hear jazz, academic music, hard rock is to a surprise at the festival.

The President of the Federal Jewish National and Cultural Autonomy of RT and festival founder Michael Skoblionok said that the idea of ​​such an event has been borrowed in Odessa.

The festival will open with a concert in Kazan, on a specially built stage on  Peterburgsky street.  It will bring together all the invited teams. You will hear the music in a completely different genres and directions. The rock group «Metal Sgent» will close the concert.

Entrance to the opening of the festival, which  begins at 16:00, free.

Half an hour before the concert, at the «Regina» hotel  (St. Petersburg, 11) master classes   on  the National Jewish cuisine,  dance and language   start.

One of the best violinists in the world Croitor Sanya, popular jazz musicians Gregory Fine and Robert Anchipolovsky  will come  to participate in the festival.

Alina Willows with the ensemble «Don» and Pauline Shepperd, who will perform with her husband, Merlin   also will make a hometown visit. Mikhail   Kirkilan  arrives  - a young guy, who went from Kiev to Israel, where he is now a rising star. The group «Slivovitz», group «Emerald» and many others will perform likewise.
