Russian Spassky fair- – event of the year!

August 2- 4,  large-scale  measures: VI Russian Spassky fair  and VI Russian Festival of  bell ringing   took place in Yelabuga town.

For the first time,  the fair was attended by 867 masters of decorative – applied arts,  crafts and folk arts, representing 136 towns and settlements of Russia (including 27 from Tatartsan), Republic Belorussia , Kazakhstan, and Greek island of Rhodes. Goods were imported  about 22 million roubles, sold more than 12 million roubles.  

42 ringers from 19 towns of the country have come to Yelabuga. The festival   of bell ringing  got together109 participants:  bell ringers, folk groups, masters of playing on old Russian instruments,  performers of bard  songs. Many of them  could be seen in trade arcades  on streets Kazanskaya, Gassar, Naberezhnaya where they performed old melodies, creating a special color of orthodox merchant town of XIX century.

In total, over 1000 representatives of creative groups  took part in the Spassky Fair and Festival that considerably exceeds even  last year’s anniversary figure.

The concert program included  creative groups of the Republic Tatarstan  – «Vesolyje volgari », «Biserinki»,  artistes  Fedor Kuznetsov, and Valentina Sidorova, accordionist Kirill Pavlov and others. A special guest of the event was   ethnic –ensemble «Russkoye pole» (Moscow). Its program included performances-remakes of folk works and original folkore of Russia of   XVII-XVIII centuries, original  bard song.

As promised, first time this year, a decoration of the Fair became a separate town for beekeepers – «Family estates of Russia». The participants of this project were  beekeepers from  4 regions of Russia: Republic of Tatarstan, Republic Bashkortostan (regions Sharansky and Birsky), Udmurt Republic  (regions Grakhovskyand Kiznersky), Kirov oblast  (Kilmez region). Apirians  from Yelabuzhsky, Cheremshansky, Aksubaevsky, Nizhnekamsky, Sarmansky, Tukaevsky  regions of our republic  took part. In addiction,  honey could be purchased  at another outlets  throughout  Spassky Fair territory.

Masters–laureates of the Spassky Fair have been awarded  by diploma and money bonuses  in the amount of  5 000 roubles. 25 bonuses have been handed to them. 5 more gifts received the most active organizers of  festive celebrations.

During the Fair  days in Yelabuga, a flow of tourists and guests sharply  increased. In particular, Yelabuga state museum-reserve  arranged  tourist service for 7 motor boats. These people deliberately arrived  at well-known across Russia the Spassky fair. Besides,  30 bus excursions  have been  organized. 

Town museums, being  part  of  Yelabuga State museum-reserve, August  2-4,  served  cultural needs  of 9842 attendees. In general, in the days of the Spassky Fair, Yealabuga town has been visited by over 100thousand people, press-service of Yelabuga  state museum-reserve informs .
