A XIII federal Sabantui takes place in Tyumen

Today, in Tyumen city, a XIII federal Sabantui  is taking place. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov  and Tyumen oblast governor Vladimir Yakushev  take part in festive measures.

The stadium «Geolog» with capacity of 12000 seats  became a venue  for federal Sabantui. Themed national  courtyards  opened next to stadium, and theatrical performance  and  traditional   festive contests are held in the stadium itself. In addition to numerous viewers, 380 representatives of Tatar public organizations from 64 regions of  Russia  take part  in federal Sabantui.

Before the start of holiday, a delegation of Tatarstan and Vladimir Yakushev went round courtyards. organized by ethnic cultural associations of the Tyumen oblast, after  which watched from the stadium’s tribune a pageant performance in which RT State ensemble of song and dance Filyus Kagirov, Said Mukhametzyanov State ensemble of song and dance «Agidel»,  Marsel Vagizov, a finalist of TV project «Golos» Elmira Kalimullina and many others   took part.

The Dignitaries visited also festive courtyards, arranged by Nizhnekamsk region of Tatarstan where they watched wrestling  sack fight, chopping  woods contest and other traditional    Sabantui sports, RT President press service  informs.
