Chigishev   Vladimir  Borisovich  (22.06.1953 – 16.06.2013)

Theatrical public   of Tatarstan   suffered an  irreplaceable lost . On June 16, 2013, on   60-year of life, after hard  illness, RF Deserved figure of arts, chief director of Kazan state theatre of youth Vladimir Borisovich  Chigishev  passed away.

He was born in  1953, in Omsk town. In  1974,  graduated Omsk state institute of physical culture, in  1982 – GITIS named  after Lunacharsky  (Moscow). From 1982 to  1985, worked as director of  Gorky theatre of youth, from 1985 to  2005, artistic director of Rostov oblast Academic Youth theatre  where presented over   60 performances.

Performance  «Hamlet» (1995 ) became a participant of World congress of International Association of theatres for children and youth, and performance  «Three sisters  (1996.) was presented for national theatrical award  «Golden mask» in nominations  «best performance» and  «best director».

At the initiative and active participation of V.B. Chigishev, an international theatrical festival «MINIFEST» (1989,1991,1993, 1995, 2000,2002,2004) was organized, having become a traditional one. Importance and level of this festival, its contribution in the world theatrical process were marked by holding  General Assembly and World Congress of ASSITEZH  in Rostov in 1996.

In 1997,  V.B. Chigishve as a professor was invited to Korean national university of arts where he conducted courses of acting technique. The performance «Three sisters» was staged on the scene of National Korean theatre.

Since year 2005,  V.B..Chigishev - a chief director  of Kazan state theatre of youth (KTY). The first work at the Kazan youth theatre was performance «Dikiy (Wild)» (2005.), which became a participant of many international and all-Russia theatrical festivals. In total, he produced  over 20 performances at the Kazan TY. «Oscar and Rosy Mama  (2007.), «family of Roman»(2007), «Gamblers» (2008), «King -Deer» (2009), «marriage with general» (2009 г.), «Le Medecin malgre lui» G.B.Mollier (2010)», «Otello» W. Shakespeare (2011), «Hi, I am you aunt!» (2011) and many other became an event in cultural life of the republic.

Possessing  high mastership, V.Chigishev  with a surprising  depth opened the world of each performance. He skillfully arranged scene space, built  mass scenes, used diversity of means of stage expressiveness. This made his  performances actual, interesting for spectators .V. В. Chigishev  could open talents of young actors, involving them  by his fantasy and subtle  humor.

A talented and purposeful, intelligent man passed away. Light memory about him will remain in our hearts.
