Famous lady singer Sevara performs at the festival «Music of faith»

Headliner of  II International festival  «Music of faith» will be a famous Uzbek lady-singer of ethnic  music Sevara Nazarkhan.  Sevara  with her group will perform on closing  the festival in the Kazan Kremlin. To remind, a gala-concert will take place on July 7, at 7 .00 pm, entry is free.

Most of Russians are  familiar with  the  name of Sevara Nazarkhan thanks to a project of the First Channel  «Golosс»: in  2012, the singer successfully passed  in a team of Leonid Agutin. However,  the devotees of ethnic music all  over the world have been  aware  and loving  Sevara since last: for last fifteen years, the graduate of Tashkent conservatory on class of opera singing has managed to work with an outstanding British composer Peter Gabriel, to spend several years in a ceaseless  tour across Europe and Asia and receive a title of  «Best Asian Artist» within the frameworks of a prestigious award  BBC World Music Award.

Sevara  has issued  6 solo  albums,  recorded on well-known labels including  «Yol Bolsin» (2002)  in cooperation with producer  Hector Zazu, «So easy» (2010) in Russian, «Tortadur» (2011) – a collection of Uzbek  folk-classic songs, recorded  with participation of master-instrumentalists in a studio of Gosteleradio of Uzbekistan and finished  on  Abbey Road Studios (London).

It is expected  that within the festival «Music of faith», Sevara  accompanied by her group,  will perform a number of folk-compositions and Uzbek traditional melodies in a modern arrangement.

The festival  «Music of faith»-2013 is going in the context of the   project  «Cultural Universiada ».
