On April 30 at 14:00 a press conference will be held at the Tatar-inform news agency dedicated to the art project “Ancient Chistopol. Revival ".

The speakers of the press conference dedicated to the art and exhibition project about a one-story, old, merchant city will be:

-Mingazov Mudaris Mukhetdinovich - Deputy Chairman of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Tatarstan;

-Pechenkin Alexander Vyacheslavovich - Director of the Chistopol State Historical, Architectural and Literary Museum-Reserve.

The essence of the project: twenty famous artists of Russia and more than 10 from Tatarstan will gather on May 3, 2021 for an open air in the city of Chistopol, an old, merchant, low-rise and one of a kind. It is noteworthy that geographically Chistopol is the center of Tatarstan. In 14 days, artists will draw ancient, pre-revolutionary buildings and iconic places of the city with a long history. At the end of the plein air, an exhibition of paintings will be organized. By agreement with the director of the Chistopol State Historical, Architectural and Literary Museum-Reserve, each painting will be accompanied by a historical reference: to whom and when the house belonged and what is famous for. Further, the paintings will be collected in an exposition, and then in a traveling exhibition. First, the exhibition will be exhibited in the Chistopol Museum Reserve, then Kazan and 6 more cities of Tatarstan. Further, the exposition will go to Moscow and St. Petersburg. During the plein air, and upon its completion, all paintings and locations will be photographed and digitized for information support of exhibitions and printing booklets (information material for exhibition visitors). At the end of the project, twenty works will be donated to the Chistopol Museum Reserve, the city of Chistopol, Chistopol Mukhtasibat, and project partners. In the future, after the completion of the reconstruction of buildings, we will continue and scale the project. The exposition "BEFORE" and "AFTER" will be created, which will combine works of art painted before the "big renovation", in 2021, and after reconstruction, by 2025.
