Tatarstan citizens took part in the action "My childhood is war"

The All-Russian action "My childhood is a war" has ended, during which on social networks and on the YouTube channel "Learn Russia: My childhood is a war. Competition "1476 videos about the fate of the children of the war have been   published.

The action was attended by residents of 70 regions of the country, including the Vologda region. More than 20 videos were received from Cherepovets, Nyuksensky, Babaevsky, Totemsky districts and other settlements of the Vologda Oblast.

Volunteers dedicated their media projects to people whose childhood fell on the years of the Great Patriotic War. The action took place during the Year of Memory and Glory with the support of members of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, regional and municipal public chambers.

“I never tire of being surprised, admiring and rejoicing at the response received to our appeal, to our invitation to participate in this action. Many of you have devoted your volunteer work to creating short films with the memories of your grandparents, the first teachers and mentors, ”said the initiator of the action, Deputy Chairman of the RF Civil Society Commission on Territorial Development and Local Self-Government Leonid Shafirov.

The participants of the action were approached by the Secretary of the RF CC Lidia Mikheeva, Deputy Secretary of the RF CC Alexander Shkolnik, chairmen of the RF CC commissions Elena Tsunaeva and Irina Velikanova. They noted the important contribution of the action participants to the preservation of historical memory, to the formation of a connection between generations, as well as the need for systematic work with the support of all interested ministries and departments to introduce such interdisciplinary projects in schools. Larisa Tutova, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Science and Education, spoke with words of gratitude. The final event was held by the Honored Worker of Culture of Russia Vera Yuzhanskaya, as well as a veteran of pedagogical work - the same age as Victory Zinaida Bolotova, members of the organizing committee of the action Larisa Lutsenko and Eduard Blokhin.

During the action "My childhood is a war", participants published 1476 video memoirs of children of the war. More than 186 thousand people watched them on the project's channel, and almost half a million on social networks.

Student, creative, labor and trade union teams took part in the creation of the videos. According to members of the organizing committee, residents of small towns and rural settlements took an active part in the action. Thanks to the volunteers, the whole world learned about the quiet feat of their fellow countrymen - children of war, residents of stanitsas, villages and villages.

An intellectual Olympiad was held live, the theme of which was the fate of the children of the war, as well as works of art dedicated to the war childhood. The material for creating most of the questions was encyclopedic articles created by volunteers of the action - participants in two rounds of the competition of biographical articles "My childhood is a war". The authors published on the Internet more than three thousand articles about the little heroes of the great war who worked at the front and in the rear, which brought the victory over Nazi Germany closer.

“In 2021, the video competition is over, the results of the action have been summed up. But now, while we still have such an opportunity, it is important for each of us to pay tribute to the generation of children of war with kind words, attention, help in solving everyday issues. In 2021, at the initiative of the members of the RF OP Commission on Territorial Development and Local Self-Government and members of the All-Russian Association of Honorary Citizens, mentors and talented youth, the campaign will continue.
