Opening of exhibition «Bestseller from the past . Paging «Mukhammadia» took place at the museum-reserve « Kazan Kremlin»

April 18, 2013,  opening of exhibition «Bestseller from the past. Paging Mukhammadia» took place at the State historic-architectural and art museum-reserve «Kazan Kremlin» where the books were presented from the funds of Tatarstan  National library

 «Mukhammadia»  is a popular religious-didactic work in Turkic language. Its author  – Makhammed Chelyabi, osman –turkish poet who lived and  created in a period of blossoming  of science and art in Osman Empire. This book  is  dedicated to life description of prophet Mukhammed, for  hundreds  years had been   a companion of Tatar people, print run  of  «Mukhammedia » was on the second place after holy Koran. It was a source of Muslim morale, religious knowledge, educated religious taste among  readers.

Exposition includes    also 9 exemplars of rare and printed versions of   «Mukhammadia», preserved  in the funds of manuscripts  and rare books section of RT National library
