«Hidden treasury. Classic Turkish art» opens on April 2 , at the Exhibition hall «Manege» in Kazan Kremlin

On Aprıl 2,  2013,  at 4. p.m. an exhbition «Hidden treasury. Turkish  classic art» opens at the Exhibition hall  «Manege» in a Kazan Kremlin  It will present traditional kinds of Turkish art  – islamic calligraphy, miniture, ebru and tezhib.

The exhibition  «Hidden treasury. Classic Turkish art» is  the first result of cooperation between RT Ministry of culture and museums of Turkish republic, possessing   valuable  art collections.

The first museum project, implemented under aegis of RT President Rustam Minnikhanov  and chairman of the Great National  Assembly  (Parliament ) of Turkey  Jemil Chichek, will be presented from April 2-30,  2013.

The exposition counts  100 works of traditional Turkish art – Islamic calligraphy, miniature, ebru (drawing on water )  and tezhib. The authors  - prominent modern masters, having conquered recognition in motherland and abroad  who teach secrets of ornamental art in center of classic Turkish art , opened  2004  in structure of National palaces.

Calligrapher   Levent  Karaduman,  ebru master  Hikmet  Barutchugil, artists of tezhib  Nilyufer  Kurfeiz and Selim Saglam, miniature maker  Taner Alakush – artists, having devoted over 30 years of their  creativity to the Turkish art. Their works, having become a new word in a modern interpretation of ancient traditions, decorate expositions of many famous museums, including British museum.

 During the first week of exposition,   the artists will show master-classes and master -show and tell about traditions of classic Turkish art and their modern construing during the meeting on April 3 with teachers  and students in Kazan  (Volga) Federal university.

The exhibition is accompanied  by edition of  the  catalogue on three languages – Turkish, Russian and English.

 Bilateral cooperation  assumes  arranging a return exhibition, which is planned to present art of Tatarstan in Artistic gallery of National palaces in Istanbul  in the second part of  year 2014
