On January 4, a creative meeting with Alexander Matochkin will take place in Sviyazhsk. We invite you to listen to old folk songs, and also the songs of Viktor Tsoi, Boris Grebenshchikov, Alexander Gradsky, Alexander Vertinsky, Fyodor Chaliapin, arranged with an accordion. We will also listen to lingering North Russian songs, and in the last part of the evening we will listen to epics while preserving the original language and tunes.

Alexander Matochkin folklorist, collector and storyteller. For several years he travels throughout the country from city to city, tells epics and sings, creating an environment in which the traditional Russian epic continues to live and develop on his own. He considers his mission to be the preservation and transmission of the elusive tradition of folk culture. In the groups Okay-Good and Living Antiquities, Alexander generously shares his findings.
In March 2020, an album of experimental avant-garde Russian folk music and songs appeared. It was the result of joint creativity of the VOLCHOK group and the famous Russian storyteller.
