Today the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan will host opening of the exhibition "In the Snowy Kingdom, in the Frosty State", traditionally dedicated to the history of New Year's holidays.
The main theme of the exhibition was traditions of giving gifts, which have a long history. Here you can see a wonderful nursery with a festive tree and toys, and a winter forest with its inhabitants.
The entire exhibition is illustrated with Christmas and New Year cards, which show the symbols of the winter holidays - Ded Moroz and Snow Maiden, New Year trees, snowmen and forest animals, clocks and calendars.
Collections of New Year's toys will "tell" about what gifts they gave for the New Year, how they decorated the festive table and decorated the New Year tree. Old sledges, skis and skates will once again remind you of winter fun in the frosty air with white crunchy snow and ringing ice.
In the workshop of Ded Moroz and Snegurochka, everyone will be able to make New Year's decorations and cards for their loved ones with their own hands.
The exhibition will run until January 25, 2020.
