Tatarstan citizens presented the video project "Dialogue of Generations" at the First All-Russian Online Festival of Family Reading #ChitaiFest

For three days, from October 30 to November 1, 2020, the Russian State Children's Library, together with the Russian Book Union, the Association of Book Publishers of Russia and the Association of Culture, Art and Education Workers to Introduce Children to Reading "Raising the Reader", held the First All-Russian Online Festival family reading #ChitaiFest.

The central event of the online festival was the three-day All-Russian marathon for family reading.

135 applications from 43 regions of Russia were received for participation in the marathon. Of these, 25 library projects were selected, where the State Budgetary Institution of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan "Republican Children's Library" was among the best projects.

From our region, the Republican Children's Library presented the Video Project “Dialogue of Generations” dedicated to family reading.

It tells about the history of the Republican Children's Library and its activities for 100 years! The role of children's libraries in the Republic of Tatarstan, which is an affordable place for family entertainment, is described. The film attracts with  scale of filming and  beauty of the multinational and friendly Republic! Talented children's groups, fairy-tale characters are waiting to meet you. The video project "Dialogue of Generations" overturns the stereotyped view of the traditions of family reading.

On October 31, 2020, the best works were broadcast live in nonstop mode on the #ChitaiFest website of the Russian State Children's Library, on the PRO.Kultura.RF platform and in the official groups of the festival on social networks, including the Video Project “Dialogue of Generations”.
