The Okno Gallery presents a unique project dedicated to six leading artists of Tatarstan from the last third of the XX - early XXI centuries, each of whom played a significant role in the visual and monumental decorative arts, interior design and urban environment.
The first part of the exhibition is a reconstruction of the 1970 group exhibition, which was the first independent performance for six recent students of the Kazan Art School. The exhibition reflected the onset of a new period in art - the rejection of the "severe style" of the 60s and the transition to more chamber, lyrical and "intellectual" art of the 70s.
The second part is a presentation of paintings, graphic and sculptural works created by the participants of the exhibition in the 1960s and 2000s, executed in different styles and genres.
At the exhibition, viewers will see photographs and archival materials reflecting the artistic environment of Kazan in the 70s-80s of the 20th century, which influenced the creative formation and development of the exhibition participants.
