Soloists from ten countries to perform at Shlyapinsky festival -2013

The make-ups the participants of the F.I. Shalyapinsky   XXXI International opera festival have been formed. 35 singers and conductors, representing 10 opera countries of the world  will perform at the festival productions-2013. Among them Russia, Italy, Germany, the Ukraine, USA, Poland,  Canada, Romania Kazakhstan and Belorussia. Besides, within the forum, Kazan is expected to receive  a collective of the  Mariinsky theatre (250 persons) which is  to present in the capital of Tatarstan  a premiere  of  the opera by  J. Massnet «Dom Quixote» (conductor Valery Gegiev).

With account of own collectives  ТАSТОandБ named after M. Jalil  (orchestra, chorus, ballet, soloists, mimic  ensemble), total number of the festival participants excels, for the first time,   500 persons.

Among headliners of the festival  – maitres of the world opera stage:  Vladimir Ognovenko  (USA) and people’s artiste of the USSR  Larisa Shevchenko, the  soloists, performing at the best scenes of  Europe – Yulia Gertzerva (Italy), Boris Statzeko  (Germany), Ahmed Agadi (Marinsky theatre),  Mikhail Kazakov (Bolshoi theatre of Russia, ТАSТОandБ after М.Jalil).

The festival will present not few  discoveries : like for the first time performs constellation of bright young  stars  of Mariinsky theatre  (Victoria Yastrebova, Sergei Semishkur, Ekaretina Shimanovich, Yadgar Yuldashev); Polish singer Anna Siminska, Alexandr Shults  (Germany) and others.

Traditional the soloists of leading theatres of Russia,  near abroad  and Europe  will partake in performances: Sisheng I, Georgi Oniani (Germany), Kalin Bratesky  (Romania), Vladimir Moroz, Ekaterina Sergeyeva, Evgeni Ulanov  (Mariinsky theatre) , Ekaterina Egorova  (Mikhailovsky theatre ),  Oksana Kramarova, Sergei Kovnir, Kmitry Kuzmin, Lilia Grevtzova (National opera of Ulraine), Andrei Grigoriev, Irina Gelakhova, Nurlan Mekmuhambetov (Moscow music theatres, Alfiya Karimova  (Ufa) Nurjan Bajekenov  (Almaty ) and others.

The performances ought to be led   by conductors  Marco Boemi  (Italy), Alla Moskalenko  (Ukraine , Airat Ishmuratov (Canada), Vladimir Vasilyev and Airat Кashaev  (Russia) . The performance  «Don Quixote»  to be conducted  by art director of the Mariinsky theatre,  musician with the world name, maestro  Valery Gergiev.

We remind that  XXXI International opera festival after F.M. Shalyapin will be held on the stage of Tatar academic state theater of opera and ballet after M. Jalil from February 1 to  16,  2013. The  festival devoted to  140th anniversary of Fyodor Ivanovich Shalyapin opens by premiere of the opera «Aida» by  J.Verdi. The program of the forum contains 11 performances  and  2 gala-concert. At the end of the festival program, for the first time in Kazan, the opera by J. Massnet «Don Quixote»  is to be staged     (production of the  Mariinsly theatre, St. Petersburg).
