For the International Dance Day, which is celebrated today, the tourist portal TourStat presented the top 10 best dance ensembles and theaters in Russia. The rating was based on a study of the popularity of dance theaters and offers of online broadcasts.
The best dance theater in Russia was the Moscow State Academic Dance Theater "Gzhel", the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Republic of Tatarstan ranks second in the rating, and the third is the Yekaterinburg Theater of Modern Choreography.
The top ten popular collectives of the country also included: The State Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Don Cossacks named after Kvasov in Rostov-on-Don, the State Cossack Song and Dance Ensemble "Stavropol" in Stavropol, the Sevastopol Academic Dance Theater after Vadim Elizarov, the State Dance Theater "Cossacks of Russia" in Lipetsk, Astrakhan Dance Theater, the State National Dance and Song Theater "Altam" of the Altai Republic in Gorno-Altaysk and the Trans-Theater Dance and Pantomime Theater in Cherepovets, Vologda Region.
