Tickets for Shalyapin festival -2013 to be on sale on December 20

December 20,  2012,  the  tickets to appear in a box office of M. Jalil  Tatar academic theatre of opera and ballet for the performances of  XXXI International festival  after F. I. Shalyapin. By tradition, the forum will take place in February, «encircling»  February 13, date of birth of Fyodor Shalyapin. The forthcoming festival is dedicated to 140th anniversary of the great bass voice.

Opening of Shalyapin festival -2013  is to take place on February  1 by a premiere of opera  J. Verdi  «Aida». The forum’s program includes best productions of recent years  - opera «Evgeniy Onegin» (2012), «Rigoletto» (2009), «Turandot» (2012), «Traviata » (2007), «Carmen» (2011),«Madam Butterfly» (2009).Two names  stand separately in a festival program   - a modern opera in Tatar   «Love of the poet»
by R.Ahiyarova  (production  2006.) and an absolute  «hit of repertoire»,
the opera, which never disappears  from the ads of Shalyapin’s festival «Boris Godunov» by M. Musorgsky  (2005). The main part in all performances are performed by the soloists of leading theatres of Russia and the world.

A final accord of the opera festival will be  2 gala concerts of the soloists of the Academy  of St. Petersburg  Mariinsky theatre ( February 14 and 15)  and  premiere  of rarely staged opera by J. Massnet  «Don Quixote»(February 16) in performance of the Mariinski soloists of chorus and orchestra under conduct of maestro Valery Georgiev.
