Show of the Yu. Grymov’s film « By the feel» takes place in a library for blind and partially sighted

December 11, at 12.00, an exhibition of the film by Yuri Grymov «By the feel»  will take place  in a reading hall  of RT GBUK «Republican special library for the blind and partially sighted»  

Alexandr Baluev, Valery Barinov, Anton Shagin, Natalia Naumova Vitaly Haev and other  Russian actors  featured in a film. 

The main character  of the film  Gleb was born blind  therefore  the world for  him  — only limitless chain of tactile perceptions. Even the close people  he recognized  exclusively by the feel. But once, his father, bandit and bureaucrat is killed and the blindness suddenly disappears. His purpose –to find kidnappers and killers of his father. And Gleb goes  for revenge, along side learning the world which is less picturesque than his imaginary world.

To remind: Tiflo-commentary   – this is off-screen description  by speaker of the film’s  video sequence,  which is  a commentary of visual elements  - gestures, objects, costumes, decorations in the cinema. This technology enables people,  even at full absence of vision, to enjoy reviewing the film  to the full, to represent all the range of visual ploys, to estimate actor’s playing and director’s ideas, used by authors of the film.

This is   the  second film with tiflo-commentaries  which is shown in the library. The first film  «Admiral»   by Andrei  Kravchuk was exhibited in February of this year. Tiflo-commentary to the film was made  by order  of non-commercial institution «Cultural-sports complex VOS» (Moscow). Such shows allow to make the world of cinema  more comfortable for the sight disabled persons of our republic.

The library with promotion of the youth section of CSCVOS plans to arrange  such viewing  in the future.

The cinema lovers wait for  «Aroma of woman» with Al Pachino, «Real fairy tale »  by Sergei Bezrukov and other. Those willing to learn what is tiflo-commentary and plunge in a world of eyeless cinema, we wait in the library.
