Tatarstan President inspects children's art school in Nurlat after major repairs

President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, visited the children's art school today as part of a working trip to the city of Nurlat. Head of the republic was accompanied by  Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova.

The educational institution was founded in 1965. In 2018, a major overhaul started in the school building. The work  has  continued for one year. Builders updated the roof, facade, engineering networks.

Rustam Minnikhanov examined classrooms, talked with teachers and students. Today, 825 children  are studying  here. The school has a concert hall with 224 seats, 2 choreographic halls and 23 rooms equipped with the necessary musical instruments and furniture.

President of Tatarstan was told that the school is actively pursuing its creative capabilities. 6 chorus groups, an orchestra of folk instruments, 2 string ensembles, 4 choreographic groups, a folklore group, an ensemble of folk instruments, and 6 vocal ensembles have been created here. Creative groups have repeatedly become winners of various competitions.

Rustam Minnikhanov praised the results of the overhaul of the art school, and also wished the pupils  further creative success.
