RT National museum jointly with Museum of World ocean presents exhibition «Travel round the World»

For the first time, in Kazan, on November 30, at 16.00,  in RT National museum, within a framework  «Cultural Universiade  jointly with famous Museum of World ocean  (Kaliningrad –St. Petersburg) an exhibition «Travel round the World» is opened.

The exhibition is dated to the  forthcoming  Universiade -2013.   An exposition acquaints  visitors with continents and countries  where from the participants and guests are expected  to come for sports competitions.

The exposition presents the unique ethnographic materials and inimitable «treasures of the ocean»:  sea shell-fish, teeth of extinct sharks, samples of amber and geological rocks from the funds of World ocean museum.

The exhibition displays also  drawings  by participants of  scientific expeditions, graphic works  by painter of seascapes  Е.V.Voishvillo,  stuffed sea fish  and animals.

The exposition is complemented  by exhibits from the funds of RT National museum, among them  -  samples of exotic flora and fauna.  

The exhibition will present also samples of shell-fish from I.M. Simonov collection from the funds of Geological museum, and book editions from the funds of Scientific library  of Kazan(Volga) federal university.

Special section is devoted to the activity of Center of sail sports and water tourism in Kazan which is a successor of yacht-club traditions.

The employees of Museum of World ocean  - guardian of the collection  Natalia Valentinovna Yartseva, Irina Stepanovna Habidova, leading specialist on exposition-exhibition work curator of the project  Stepanchuk Yulia Vasilevna take part   in opening  of the exhibition.

The exhibition  lasts until January  25, 2013.
