In Tatarstan, the qualifying rounds of the Ilham Shakirov International Television Competition “Tatar Mony” will start

The first qualifying rounds of the competition took place in December at  the educational institutions of Kazan. They were held at the Kazan State Conservatory named after N. Zhiganov, Kazan State Institute of Culture, College of Music named after I.V.Aukhadeev and the theater school.

Next in line are listening in cities and regions of the Republic of Tatarstan, regions of the Russian Federation, and foreign countries. So, in January qualifying rounds will be organized in Tyulyachi (January 18), Buinsk (January 19), Almetyevsk (January 24), Nizhnekamsk (January 25). In February - in Ulyanovsk with the participation of contestants from Mari El and Chuvashia, as well as at  the Orenburg region in the village of Asekeevo with the invitation of performers from the Samara region. In March, the competition commission will work in Ufa, Yekaterinburg and St. Petersburg. At the same time, qualifying rounds will be held in both full-time and part-time forms, the organizers specify.

At the same time, applications will continue to be accepted for the Ilham Shakirov International Television Competition “Tatars of Mony”.

The age of the participants is from 17 to 35 years. Their performances will be evaluated in two categories:

  • "The lead vocalist." This nomination includes three areas: academic vocals, pop vocals, folk singing (male and female voices);
  • "Instrumental soloist."

To participate in the competition, you must send an application, audio - or video materials to the competition e-mail tm.ilham@mail.ru. The organizers are asked to indicate the name, age, title of the work and phone number. The deadline for receiving materials is March 15.

The second round of the competition will be held April 17-18 at the Kazan State Institute of Culture, the third round - April 19 in the concert hall of the Tatar State Philharmonic named after G. Tukaya. The gala concert will be held April 21 at the Tatar State Academic Theater. G. Kamala.

Information: The international television contest of young performers "Tatars Moi" has been held annually since 2008. In 2019, by a decision of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov, the competition was named after the People's Artist of TASSR Ilgam Shakirov.

The objectives of the competition are the promotion of Tatar folk songs and works  by   Tatar composers, introducing young people to national cultural values, identifying and supporting talented young performers, developing their creative potential.

For ten years, the jury has been chaired by the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Professor, Laureate of the G. Tukai State Prize Salavat Fatkhutdinov.
