Fond Zhivaya Klassika (The Living Classics Foundation) has announced holding of the All-Russian Contest for Young Readers

Registration of participants takes place on the project website https://youngreaders.ru/.

“A large-scale children's literary educational project is being implemented using a grant from  President of the Russian Federation and is aimed at popularizing reading among adolescents and expanding their reading horizons. The contest   is held in all regions with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, ”its organizers said.

Students in grades 5-11 can take part in a creative competition. They need to memorize a fragment from a prosaic work and successfully overcome  selections in the classroom, school, district, regional and All-Russian tours.

The best will gather at the All-Russian final in the Artek camp, and the most talented will perform in the super final on the  Red Square in Moscow in front of spectators and jury members - famous actors, writers and cultural figures. Another bonus for school graduates will be preferential admission to the B. Schukin Theater Institute.
