Tatarstan State Symphony Orchestra has opened a new musical season

The State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan and Alexander Sladkovsky   have  opened the 54th concert season. On this day, on the stage of the Bolshoi Concert Hall   after  S. Saidashev held a concert in memory of the great opera singer, People's Artist of the USSR Galina Vishnevskaya.

Among the guests of honor at the concert were RT Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva, RT Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova and Artistic Director of the Opera Center Galina Vishnevskaya, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Olga Rostropovich. The daughter of the great musician Mstislav Rostropovich and opera singer Galina Vishnevskaya noted that they had an old friendship with Alexander Sladkovsky. She also emphasized that over the years of leadership of the   RT SSO  Alexander Sladkovsky   has managed to bring the orchestra to the international level. “I don’t know of any regional orchestra that has been touring with such success and recording serious cycles of works on labels such as Sony Classical,” concluded Olga Rostropovich.

At the opening of the season, on the birthday of Dmitry Shostakovich, Symphonies No. 14 and No. 5 by  the great Soviet composer were sounded. Along with the orchestra conducted by Alexander Sladkovsky, a graduate of the Opera Singing Center  of Galina Vishnevskaya performed the 1st prize winner of the 5th International Opera Contest of  Galina Vishnevskaya, Moscow Opera Theater soloist Irina Moreva and the Bolshoi Theater Youth Opera program, diploma winner of the 7th International Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Contest  Giorgi Chelidze.

Note that the 54th concert season will be significant for Alexander Sladkovsky himself - the 10th year of the leadership of the State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan. “The Tatarstan orchestra is currently in excellent shape and ready to conquer new musical peaks,” the maestro emphasized.
