Concerts of the subscription of the classical and contemporary music "Bravissimo" of the S.Gubaidulina Center for Contemporary Music of the 2018-2019 season. devoted to the art of academic music and theater, television and radio, as well as anniversaries of prominent representatives of world culture.
The first concert of the Bravissimo subscription with the participation of the Grand Prix winner of the international competition of the Chamber Orchestra “New Music”, honored artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Anna Gulishambarova, will take place on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the S. Saidashev Concert Hall. The concert is titled “The Golden Tenor of Naples” and is dedicated to the outstanding Italian tenor, which flourished in the late 19th and early 20th century.
The greatest fame of the singer is associated with the New York Metropolitan Opera Theater, the lead soloist of which he was from 1903 to 1921.
Possessing the voice of a unique timbre, Caruso recorded a lot and was one of the first opera singers to record the main part of his repertoire on gramophone records.
Caruso played the lyrical and dramatic parts with equal success, mainly in Verdi’s operas (Herzog, Manrico in The Troubadour, Richard in The Masquerade Ball, Radames in Aida) and the composers of the Verist (Canio in Payatsi Leonkavallo and others). He was the first performer of the roles of Federico (“Arlesian” by Chile, 1897), Loris (“Theodore” Giordano, 1898), Johnson (“The Girl from the West” Puccini, 1910).
In the concert repertoire of Caruso, the main place was occupied by Neapolitan songs.
For the first time in Kazan, the Golden Tenor of Naples program will feature the International Trio of Tenors: Farid Aliyev (Baku) - soloist of the Azerbaijan Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. MF Akhundova, Honored Artist of Azerbaijan; Ruslan Bragar (Kadirov) (Moscow) - winner of the Prize of the Fund for them. I. Kozlovsky, laureate of the International Competition in Belgrade, Honored Artist of Ukraine; Dmitry Polkopin (Moscow) - soloist of the Moscow Academic Theater named after KS Stanislavsky and V. Nemirovich-Danchenko.
