October 24, Kazan will host the second concert in the framework of the VIII International Festival of Contemporary Music named after Sofia Gubaidulina "Concordia". The concert will be dedicated to the work of the outstanding Soviet and Russian composer, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Council of the Union of Composers of the Russian Federation Alexei Rybnikov. The creator of the famous rock opera “Juno and Avos”, as well as music for numerous films, will be the honored guest of the festival evening. The State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan under the direction of the artistic director and chief conductor, People’s Artist of Russia Alexander Sladkovsky will perform for the first time in Kazan the famous works by the composer: symphonic paintings “Buffoon”, “Night Song” and “Music of Lycia”, as well as Symphony No. 6.
