Access to the digital library is possible from any gadget.
Every year about 1,500 documents are digitized at the National Library of Tatarstan. Sucha data in an interview with the IA "Tatar-inform" reported led expert of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the Kazan State Institute of Culture Roza Akhmadiyeva.
“We understand that paper carriers are not always saved, and electronic versions will remain for many and many generations. I believe that one of the main tasks is the transfer of accumulated experience. The second task is that if earlier a reader had to go to the library and sign up, then here he will have a personal account through which he will be able to enroll electronically,”she noted.
According to Akhmadiyeva, in terms of digitizing documents and books, the republic is among the leaders of the Russian regions.
“We have a high level of both training and retraining of personnel. Library work is well established. I want to say that in Russia we are at the advanced level,”said the agency interlocutor.
Nevertheless, Tatarstan has a lot of work to do in digitizing books and documents.
“There is a lot of work ahead, as there are still copyrights. To comply with them, you must enter into contracts. Modern scholars and authors understand the benefits of the digital library and immediately, as fresh books are printed, give rights to use. Each author is interested in having more readers hear about him, so that his name is heard louder,”explained Ahadiyeva.
