On October 11, 2018, the Republican scientific-practical seminar "Actual issues of the museums of Tatarstan" will be held on the basis of the Museum of History of Tetyushsky Krai. It is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, administration of the Tetyushsky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan, National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Museum of the History of the Tetyushky Krai with the support of the regional branch of the Russian Military Historical Society in Tatarstan and the Association of Tatarstan Museums.
In the republic there are more than 160 state and municipal museums, more than 230 departmental, several dozen private museums, and for them republican seminars are an important platform for the exchange of experience, development and coordination of joint actions and projects.
The central theme of the seminar is “Museums as a resource for development of the tourism and recreation sector.”
Today, the issue of presenting cultural heritage through new excursion routes and tourist programs is becoming increasingly important. An important role in this is played by museums with various collections and having positive experience working with tourists and tour operators.
The seminar will present successful practices in the field of tourism museums of Kazan, Elabuga, Bolgar, Sviyazhsk and others. The Museum of History of Tetyushsky Krai will acquaint with projects that include a hospitality program at the Dolgaya Polyana estate and a presentation of the Museum of Fisheries, created with grant support from the competition of cultural centers and tourism in small cities of the state program of the Russian Federation “Development of Culture and Tourism”.
Representatives of museums and tourism industry will discuss issues of interaction and prospects for the development of school, event and industrial tourism.
A general meeting of members of the Tatarstan Museums Association will be held within the framework of the seminar.
