In August, the International Festival of Medieval Battle "Great Bolgar-2018" will take place.

The festival will be held on the territory of the Bolgarian Museum-Reserve on August 11-12. The festival of medieval combat includes a mandatory tournament program for on foot and horse fighting. In addition, it will be brightly and interestingly represented by various zones: a historical camp and the fair of ancient crafts, a historical camp of Volga Bulgaria, the medieval children's world, the fair of national art crafts; site – combat vehicles, bow-crossbow, medieval music and dances.

The evening program consists of battles under the spotlights at the central stadium, a concert of several collectives, a theatrical fiery tale with fireworks, etc.

Each participant and guest of the festival can try himself in mastering ancient crafts, learn historical dances during creative master classes. On the playground, the children will get acquainted with old games and modern swords fighting, take part in contests and tournaments.
