Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Tatarstan on the Day of Russian Language

Today the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov has   addressed the Tatarstan citizens on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of the Russian Language and the 219th anniversary of the birth of A.S. Pushkin

"Dear friends! I cordially congratulate you on the Day of the Russian Language! Traditionally, we celebrate this date on the birthday of the genius of Russian literature of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, - the text of the appeal says. Pushkin is a symbol of Russian culture. From a young age, having absorbed  high moral values ​​of the Russian people, he sang them in his work and opened it to the whole world. Followers called Pushkin the sun of Russian poetry, spreading its rays over a huge distance and causing an infinite number of large and small satellites to live. His legacy by right is one of the treasures of world literature and the property of the entire Russian people.

Russian culture has cultivated a pleiad of great poets, writers, thinkers. Outstanding representatives of many peoples of the Russian Federation noted  his  positive impact on their creativity and the development of the culture of multinational Russia. Among them a special place is occupied by the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai.

 

Guiding star for many became the works by the writer and enlightener Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy. As well as A.S. Pushkin, he drew inspiration from the life and work of the common people, believed in the boundless potential and talent of people living in Russia. 2018 in the Republic of Tatarstan has been  declared the Year of Leo Tolstoy.

It is important for us to multiply the cultural wealth that is passed from generation to generation and reflected in immortal literary works, to preserve the highest human ideals.
