The National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan presents a unique project - "Opened museum collections". Anyone may look at the life of the museum from within, get "behind the scenes" of the museum space.

Our collection has been formed for more than 120 years and now holds about a million monuments of history and culture. This is the main part of the entire museum heritage of Tatarstan. Just imagine how many interesting rarities are kept in the National Museum! But only a small part of them are in the exhibition halls, it is simply impossible to place everything there. We want to show people as much as possible museum rarities.

The conductors in the journey to the storage facility will be the staff of the museum. They will tell the story of origin, existence and receipt of unique items in the museum collection.

You can not only get acquainted with the collection of the museum, but also ask questions to the custodians, learn how the funds were formed, how to properly store and display a particular object, immerse yourself in the secrets of museum storages.

Since museum holdings are not an ordinary place, with special rules of work, a visit is possible only with excursion services by a group of 5 to 10 people on preliminary requests.
