"Anatoly Alexandrovich Ivanov: memory of the heart"

On February 1, 2018, at 4 pm, the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan will host a memorial evening dedicated to Doctor of Historical Sciences, Editor-in-Chief of the Memory Book, member of the Academic Council of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan Anatoly Alexandrovich Ivanov.

For 25 years he has been  the permanent editor of the "Memory Book" of the Republic of Tatarstan. Under his leadership, more than 100 volumes of various publications were prepared, where the names of the dead and returning from the fronts of the war, compatriots, victims of political repression, were immortalized.

In co-authorship with A.A. Ivanov the  books   were published  "Tatarstan during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", "The Veterans of Tatarstan", "Knights of the Three Orders of Glory", "Heroes of Socialist Labor - our countrymen" and others. Anatoly Alexandrovich - the author of the books "Winged Youth", "Combat losses of the peoples of Tatarstan during the Great Patriotic War".

For many years, Anatoly Alexandrovich was associated with the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan - he was a member of the Academic Council, he was a regular consultant of museum exhibitions on military subjects, participants in round tables and meetings devoted to the problems of studying and preserving the memory of the war. Under his scientific guidance was created an exposition of the Museum-Memorial of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

The life of А.А. Ivanov is an example of selfless service to the Motherland, the people and historical truth. He was awarded the Order of Merit for the Republic of Tatarstan, medals Veteran of Labor, For Labor Valor, For Valorous Labor, In Memory of the 1000th Anniversary of Kazan, Patriot of Russia and others.

On this day, the museum will bring together friends and colleagues  of A.A. Ivanov, among them: museum employees and scientists, representatives of the "Editorial Board" Memory Book "of the RT, veterans, search and other organizations. At the exhibition you can see his photos from the family archive, monographs and books.
