On the eve of the New Year, on December 28, the creative collective of the Conservatory will present the musical comedy by Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Gajibekov "Arshin Mal Alan". The premiere of the performance will be held at the S. Saidashev State Concert Hall. The director of the Crimean Tatar State Academic Music and Drama Theater, Rinat Bektashev, acts as the director-producer.
The opera involves soloists of the opera studio, the orchestra "TATARICA" under the direction of Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Rinat Khalitov and others.
Reference: Uzeir Gajibekov created his most famous creation in 1913, during his studies at the St. Petersburg Conservatory. The premiere took place on the Azerbaijan theater stage and had such a success that over time the performance was presented in 80 languages of the world. The comedy received its name from the characteristic cry "arshin mal alan" (literally "buy goods arshinami"), which was used by street vendors in Azerbaijan.
The young merchant Asker wants to marry, personally choosing a girlfriend of life, contrary to the custom forbidding to see the bride before the wedding.
