Until the end of the exhibition "Russian painting of the late XIX - early XX century" from the collections of the Russian Museum (St. Petersburg) and the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan less than a month left.
The Russian Museum is a unique repository of artistic values and one of the largest centers of cultural and educational work, the scientific and methodological center of art museums in the Russian Federation, oversees the work of more than 250 art museums in Russia. The State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan is a large regional art museum on the basis of which the first Russian Cultural and Exhibition Center of the Russian Museum was opened.
The exhibition "Russian painting of the late XIX - early XX century" includes more than sixty works of fine art of the Silver Age - one of the brightest periods in the history of Russian culture. The exhibition presents both famous works by outstanding artists and works that practically do not leave the storehouses of the Russian Museum: for example, the Kazan viewer will see the painting by V. I. Zarubin "Bogomoletsy", which, after the restoration, was completed in 2015, is exhibited only a second time. The exhibition continues the Kazan tradition of combining on a single exposition floor brilliant works from the collections of the best art museums of the country, in this case - the Russian Museum and the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan, which broadens the notion of artistic culture at the turn of the century, and creates new spectator impressions.
The artistic image of this time is multifaceted: realism, symbolism, modernism, impressionism, avant-garde, Russian sezannizm, abstract art. The exposition includes works by famous artists of the realistic direction of I.E. Repin, V.A. Serov, B.M. Kustodiev, S.A. Korovin, and the work by N..I. Feshin. The works of the largest representatives of the association "The World of Art" A.N. Benois, K.A. Somov, L.S. Bakst, M.V. Dobuzhinsky, A. Ya. Golovin are attracted by a decorative nature of easel painting, the desire for symbolic polysemy, metaphorical images, the multiplicity of the subtle game of form and content. You can see the early works by such masters as K.S. Petrov-Vodkin, V.E. Borisov-Musatov. Many of the great painters of this time created their own world. Zhukovsky is a continuer of the Levitan tradition with its sense of enlightened comfort; S.Vinogradov's open-air painting conveys the state of nature by the brightness of color and the free texture of the smear. Recognized by their works are the artists of one of the early trends of the Russian avant-garde "The Knave of Diamonds" P.P. Konchalovsky, I.I. Mashkov, R.R. Falk. M.F. Larionov is unexpectedly introduced. Originally, using the techniques of cubism is revealed the image of the actress Dzyubinskaya-Adamova in the portrait by N.I. Altman. The methods of cubism are the basis for composing the works by N.S. Goncharova and M.V. Ledantu. Completes the exhibition "Improvisation" by V. V. Kandinsky - one of the founders of abstract art.
