New Year's fantasies. Golden Khokhloma

December 20 (16.00) at the "Hermitage-Kazan" Center of the Kazan Kremlin an exhibition "New Year's fantasies. Golden Khokhloma (Nizhny Novgorod) opens.

The author of the majority of works is the People's Artist of Russia Nikolai Alexandrovich Gushchin. For 20 years he worked at the factory "Khokhloma artist" in the village of Semino, Koverninsky district, Nizhny Novgorod region, engaged in the study and development of the famous painting. In his works the master combines contemporary art with folk traditions. Nikolay Gushchin is the author of 66 new types of Khokhloma products accepted for production. The artist loves the contour drawing and widely uses various motifs of meadow grasses, garden flowers, forest berries, golden patterns of curls, an ancient herbal letter with sprawling black and scarlet stems. In his pictorial images, the dream of wealth and abundance is embodied, therefore the objects painted by him become original wishes of well-being, prosperity and happiness.

According to the organizers, the exhibition turned out to be bright, original. Every visitor will see something interesting here. The older generation will remember that somewhere on the mezzanine are Khokhloma bochatas, cups. Young people will discover a bright, original art. And the children will meet with a wonderful fairy tale.

The exhibition will run until January 8, without holidays.

The ticket price is 100 rubles.
