In the small hall of the picture gallery, an exhibition of works by a member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation Hamza Sharipov

19 December 2017, Tuesday

The exposition is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the birth of the master. Hamza Mulikhanovich is a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia and the International Association of Fine Arts of UNESCO, Honorary Member of the International Humanitarian Academy "Europe-Asia", Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The artist's works are in the collections of the state museums and galleries of the Republic of Tatarstan, Hungary, the cities of Perm and Ankara, as well as private collectors of Russia and abroad. He is a participant of international, foreign and Russian exhibitions.

A characteristic feature of Khamza Sharipov's paintings is their philosophical content, expressed in laconic form, based on the symbolism of ancient archetypal images and on the tradition of folk primitive art. The master has his own principles for the plastic solution of the theme: a planar background, a limited number of images, a minimum of details, the use of traditional folk symbols such as white wolf, crescent, minaret, lake, sun, horse, wheel, flowers. Figures of people in the paintings are given conditionally, schematically. The paintings of Hamza Sharipov simple and unsophisticated at first glance, represent a complex sign system. Its symbolic meaning, including many deep layers, is revealed to the viewer gradually, through his personal associative representations and knowledge of national and world culture. The artist includes in the image verbal texts, most often taken from folk songs. In combination with the picturesque images, they create a special lyrical mood, the Tatar mine.

The exposition presents 43 works, the exhibition will last until January 21, 2018.
