Restoration of the fountain at the Lyadsky Garden received the highest award of the Association of Landscape Architects of Russia

The project and realization of  recreating  of the historical fountain by  the sculptural group by way of  its restoration have been  were awarded  the Gold Diploma and the bronze cube in the nomination "Best realized object of cultural and historical heritage".

The festival "VIII Russian National Prize in Landscape Architecture" was held in Moscow on November 20-24, 2017. This is the main event of the year in the landscape architecture of Russia and the highest award in this field. The architect-restorer Julia Balabanova presented the project of the reconstruction of the historical fountain on the territory of the monument of landscape architecture "Former Lyadskaya Garden (" The Garden of Letsky"), 1st floor. XIX - early. XX centuries. " Members of the international jury noted the high level of professionalism in the research of the historical facility, the methodology of design and implementation of the project. In particular, they drew attention to the importance of the project, as an example of recreating lost objects on the territory of cultural heritage sites.

Restoration of the central square of the park with the reconstruction of the historical fountain contributes to the preservation and restoration of open spaces of the city, which have historical and cultural value. The fountain is the center of the composition of the park, which has preserved the historical layout, its main dominant. The garden of Letsky is 148 years old, the history of the fountain is 123 years old. The project is developed on the basis of complex scientific research using archival, iconographic, bibliographic material and modern digital methods of graphic reconstruction. The fountain with the sculptural group has been  recreated in the original dimensions and proportions. It is located in the original place, in the center of the garden, at the intersection of perpendicular and diagonal avenues and is surrounded by a flower garden, as it was at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries.
