December 1, 2017 at 14.00 at the famous literary museum of Tatarstan - the Literary and Memorial Museum after A. M. Gorky - the opening of an exhibition "I would like to live with you in a small city ...", dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of Marina Tsvetaeva. This event will be held as part of the cycle of jubilee celebrations of the great poetess.
The organizers of the joint project are the Elabuga State Museum-Reserve and the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan. For the A.M. Gorky museum opened after a large-scale reconstruction last year, displaying an exhibition related to the name of the great Russian poet ("Marina Ivanovna Tsvetaeva called herself" "a poet") is of particular importance since besides the expansion of inter-museum cooperation, such projects once again allow the museum to be positioned as the leading cultural and literary center of the city.
The exhibition is dedicated to the life and work of Marina Ivanovna Tsvetaeva. The Elabuga period of the poet's life is most detailed: evacuation, staying at the family house of the Brodelshchikovs, a trip to Chistopol, a tragic death ... Documentary evidence of the circumstances of those days is the poet's posthumous notes, diaries of her son George Efron, excerpts from letters, memoirs of Elabuga residents.
A significant part of the exposition is made up of materials about the large-scale work of the Elabuga State Museum-Reserve to preserve the memory of the poet and popularize her creative heritage. So, on the Elabuga land on the basis of the Memorial Complex of M.I. Tsvetaeva in the Elabuga State Museum-Reserve for many years are held International Tsvetaeva readings, the presentation of the Literary Prize after M.I. Tsvetaeva, Tsvetaeva fires, competitions of readers of works of poets of the Silver Age, the Triennale of the ex-libris.
The exhibition will run until January 20, 2018. The work hours are from 10 to 18 hours, the day off is Monday.
