November 22 at the Naberezhnye Chelny art gallery the opening of a personal exhibition by the Kazan graphic Alexander Mikhailovich Artamonov took place.
Alexander Artamonov is a theater artist by education. In 1990-2000th one of the leading painters of Kazan, actively exhibited in European and American galleries. Since 2011, has got fascinated by etching, discovering the inexhaustible possibilities of this technique, which since 1990 has been in Tatarstan on the margins of the artistic process. One of the organizers of the Kazan International Biennale of Printed Graphics, which is held since 2011 and gathers dozens of masters from around the world. Since 2012, he heads the graphic section of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan, since 2013 he is the head of the Center for Printed Graphics of the Republic of Tatarstan, whose work is carried out under the patronage of the Volga branch of the Russian Academy of Arts.
The artist organizes master classes and seminars in the art residence of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan in Kazan and the State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve in Sviyazhsk, giving artists of Tatarstan and neighboring republics the opportunity to learn the experience of leading Russian graphics, as well as specialists from Sweden, Italy, the USA.
The exposition presents 39 graphic works, the exhibition will last till December 3.
